Sept. 11th 2003 Meet Results
On September 11th we opened our season running in a quadragular meet hosted by Thompson middle school in Oswego. Oswego-Traughber and Geneva were our other other opponents. The afternoon was sunny in the low 80's with a slight breeze. There were separate races for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade athletes.

Daniel Olache led our runners in the one mile 6th grade race with a time of 6:49 in fourth place. Michael Schmidt followed closely in sixth place with a strong 6:57 effort. Rachel Gilmore ran a steady race in 8:24 for eigth place, ahead of the majority of 6th grade girl runners.

The seventh grade race featured Stephan Jurgens running a fast 9:28 time over the 1.5 mile 7th grade course, good for 2nd place. Murphy Kurth opened her season with a solid 10:55 clocking and sixth place.

In the 2 mile eighth grade race, Josh Stein's 13:54 seventh place effort was within seconds of a pack of Geneva runners. David Allen showed improved stamina with his 16:12 seventeenth place finish. Erin Schafer (14:58, 2nd place) was just barely edged out on the last straight away.
