This site is dedicated to all Lybarger descendants and others interested in the research and documentation of the Lybarger name, the history of their families, and of the ancestors or descendants of those families. Some of the other known variations of spelling are: LyBarger, Lyberger, LyBarker, Lybyer, Labyer, LaBier, Leyberger, Leinberger, and Leyenberger. If you have comments or suggestions concerning this web site and its pages, or if you might suggest an addition to this web site please contact John L. Lybarger. I am one of the authors of
the book The Lybarger Descendants
and a trustee of the Lybarger Memorial Association and in the process of making
an updated book. Would you like your family included as a descendant of the
Lybarger, LyBarger, Lyberger, LyBarker, Lybyer, Labyer, LaBier surname? We produced two
books already, one in 1997 (773 pages) and another in 2000 (1006 pages). On 10 September 2011, it was decided by the Lybarger Memorial Association trustees that an updated book The Lybarger Descendants would be made available for sale ($20 including shipping) beginning 21 July 2012 at the Madley, Pennsylvania reunion and after that by mail. This book will be on a CD in a PDF format and contain about 1600 pages and over 35,000 names, 19,214 of those are direct descendants.
I am in the final editing stage of the book / cd project and it is 1735 pages. The CD is 104 files and 189mb.
