I began casting these bodies for my own benefit. Either I wanted to build multiple versions of the same car or a slightly different vehicle that wasn't even available. Un-built original kits were just too pricey for me and the built kits that needed to be restored were either drying up or beyond restoration. It was while scrolling through the Hobby Heaven message board that I noticed quite a few beginners were trying their hand at resin-casting. Why not me?

After way too much money and way too many hours, I started getting a feel for the process…

My first two molds were of a 1964 Grand Prix and a 1970 Grand Prix. Neither will ever be confused with a new AMT release, but I found that I could produce a nice, reasonably thin casting that looked great with Modelhaus bumpers and accessories. Ultimately, I thought if I had such a passionate interest in building these old Pontiacs, others would too. After casting over 30 of these bodies for my friends and myself, the molds are still in excellent shape and aren't showing any signs of breaking down yet.

These bodies will have things like hoods, grills, turn signals or headlights molded in to keep my cost down and process simple. I don't provide bumpers or glass because they are either readily available through established resin-casters like The ModelHaus and F&F or can be easily and cheaply kit-bashed from something currently on the market.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

THESE KITS WERE NOT PRODUCED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ANY OTHER RESIN CASTER. NO OTHER RESIN CASTER OFFERS ANY GUARANTEE THAT THIER PARTS WILL FIT MY BODIES!

I have found The ModelHaus and F&F parts fit very well however. Some minor filling or sanding will almost always be necessary for an airtight fit of the accessories you'll be adding. I try to clean up the excessive flashing, but I intentionally leave some in place in delicate or hard-to-reach areas for stability during shipment.

These castings will never be confused with a new kit release. They are inexpensive issues of desirable subjects that are a great value and build-up into a very good-looking replica. I don't do this for a living. I'm a hobbyist who cast a few things for himself that turned out really well. If you enjoy putting a little time, work and effort into your kits, you will love these. I do want you to be happy with your old Poncho body. If you're not happy with the body you ordered, just email me & return the body, untouched, within 30 days. I'll refund your money less shipping.

Thanks for looking and feel free to email me with any questions!

1964 Pontiac Grand Prix body: $19
Interior tub with bucket seats and dash: $10
Extra set of grill inserts (unplated): $2.50 set

***1964 Grand Prix has the hood and grill inserts molded in. A template is included for the rear glass. I use the windshield, steering wheel and frame from the 1964 Impala and Modelhaus bumpers to complete. Although the frame isn't correct (it's an "X" frame) the wheelbase is perfect and the Impala is cheap and plentiful. The 1962 Catalina kit can be used but with heavy modification in my opinion.

1970 Pontiac Grand Prix body: $17
Interior tub with bucket seats and dash: $10
Hood & front bumper available soon.

***1970 Grand Prix has the headlights and turn signals molded in. The 1970 Monte Carlo is a great source for chassis (with modifications) and glass. The 1970 GTO can also be a source for the steering wheel and chassis, but the chassis is a bit longer than the Grand Prix. The Modelhaus bumpers for the 69 GP can be used, but the 70 GP has vertical grill inserts - the 69 has horizontal inserts.

1964 Pontiac Catalina body: $19
Interior tub with bucket seats and dash: $10

***1964 Catalina is the body only. No hood or grill inserts molded in. I didn't mold the "Catalina" body scripts onto the fenders or onto the trunk. The interior tub is the Grand Prix interior tub. The package tray area will have to be rounded to match the contours of the Catalina roofline. I use the 1964 Impala for the glass, steering wheel and chassis. The 1962 Catalina can be used with heavy modification. I use The ModelHaus grill inserts, hood & bumpers for the rest.
