On November 29th, 2003, we are holding a Benefit Dinner in recognition of Patty McLeod to raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer research at the Heritage Club near Bensalem, in Newportville, Pa.


The benefit will be for all women battling this disease and the 25,500 women who will be diagnosed this year. We have committed to a goal of raising $10,000.

Can I count on your support?

On the research front, our most pressing task is to develop a reliable early detection test for ovarian cancer- like those for cervical cancer. Because there is not a reliable test for ovarian cancer, 78% of the women that will be diagnosed this year will be diagnosed after the disease has already spread; when the chance for survival is low.

Recent discoveries are paving the way for new advances in the treatment and early detection of ovarian cancer, but more work still needs to be done.

This promising new research needs additional support to speed the development of a test and more effective treatment. That is why I am asking you to sponsor this ovarian cancer Benefit Dinner for Patty McLeod. If we support this vital research, more lives can be saved.

We would greatly appreciate any donations, prizes or sponsorship money that you or your business can offer made in loving recognition of Patty McLeod. This will be a nice way for everyone to do something that hopefully will make a difference to a lot of people. Even the gift of time or talent to make this important fundraiser happen will be cherished.
