More Odds and Ends

Apparently John Kerry decided to sacrifice his support from P.E.T.A. in order to pick up some Red State votes from the 2nd Amendment crowd. At the local hardware store before his dangerous safari into the wilds of an Ohio farm field last week he was even heard to say, "Can I get me a huntin' license here?"  Now who'd o' thunk that he was such a regular guy?

A recent poll shows that single women voters overwhelimingly support John Kerry. I hate to break the news to them, but if your net worth isn't at least $1 billion, he couldn't care less.  This is in sharp contrast to our former Democratic President, who was far more equalitarian in reaching out to his base of supporters.

The recent endorsement of John Kerry by Yasser Arafat, who joined other illuminaries such as Kim Jong Il, Jacques Chirac, and Teddy Kennedy, adds a certain luster to his campaign that cannot be overlooked. On the other hand, the Iranian "moollahs" stated that they would never support any Democrat. Apparently they can never forgive Jimmy Carter for the ecological disaster that they believe he created in their desert while trying to rescue the American hostages.

For some reason or other, I just cannot picture any Iraqi terrorist sitting down and saying, "Oh, damn, the French are coming. Now we are in real trouble".
