ABOUT THE DRUM AND CANNON

I am a retired telephone company regulatory planner  who
lives in Lakewood, Colorado.  In addition to political and
military issues, my interests include genealogy, history,
  travel, and fishing.

I served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1969 as a pilot in the

Military Airlift Command  and in Air Force Rescue. During this time I traveled extensively throughout the Pacific and Far East areas. Honorably discharged in 1969 with the rank of Captain.

I graduated on the Dean's List from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Engineering Sciences.   Distinguished Graduate of AF Squadron Officers School in 1967.  I obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 1983.

My wife Carol and I each have three sons that we brought into our marriage of  twenty-five years. We also have two natural grandsons plus one grandson and granddaughter through marriage. There is also Jessica, our "adopted" daughter who came to live with us four years ago while attending high school, and is now in college and has not yet been able to get rid of us.

When I am not browsing the internet for material or actually writing, I am frequently involved with voluntary grassroots political activities for conservative candidates, fishing with my grandson, working in the yard, or delving into genealogy research for family and friends.
