   This party of five hauls in 4 legal-sized striped bass. Minimum size for these prized and delicious fighters is 28 inches.   Each year Jac's Mate tags and releases about a hundred of these bass for research conducted by the American Littoral Society.
   In conjunction with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other Federal and local agencies, data on migration, growth, mortality rates, etc. is compiled.
  This information is used to avoid overfishing, keeping fish stocks vibrant and insuring continued good fishing for the future.
   Jac's Mate handles the reporting of any tagged fish caught on a trip. While we encourage keeping and consuming legal sized bass, we may elect to tag selected specimens that you choose to release.
