The Story of the Bears:

We were married in 1994. When Mel moved in the bears moved in, too. And there are lots of bears. Bears everywhere. Anyway, the primary bears are the three that travel with us. Mel has pretty much always slept with a bear. I have become converted. They do make excellant pillows. Don't tell them I said that though. The bears mostly live on the bed at home so they are always anxious to go on vacation.

The Bears now share our bed with the cat, Domino. Domino used to belong to our neighbors, the Biegles. But she started hanging around our house shortly after we got married. I can't imagine why. Maybe because Melody supplied her with food, water and a litter box. Anyway, Domino would spend the day at our house, then about 9:30 pm she would head back over to the Beigle's for the night. We couldn't figure this out until we asked Tom Beigle, "What happens over at your house at 9:30 at night?" Tom said, "That's when I have my dish of ice cream." Then we understood.

The Beigles moved to Centerville but Domino stayed with us. She is one funny cat and we love her a lot. She talks to me all the time, but not so much to Melody. And yet Melody always knows what it is she wants. Domino is pretty spoiled. It's like they say, the cat allows us to live with her.
