	Many years ago I made models of sea creatures for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Long Marine Lab, and the Clifford Elementary School in Red Wood City, CA. The models are actually more like puppets in that they have moving parts that show things that the animals do in real life. The Monterey Bay Aquarium was the first to ask me to make a model of a Decorator Crab . It took me a long time to complete that first project (about two months), as I didn't really know what I was doing. Hard work and patience paid off though. When I delivered the crab to the aquarium, someone who works there thought, for a moment, that it was a real specimen. He said, "I didn't know those things got that big".
