FREE Conductive Heat Transfer Program (CONDS)

Capability: Program CONDS was written by Prof. A. Haji-Sheikh of the University of Texas at Arlington. It is a transient, one-dimensional heat conduction program for temperature-independent thermal properties.  It can treat one or two layers, volume energy generation and fins. It is a DOS program and is based on Green's functions, as described in the book, "Heat Conduction Using Green's Functions", by Beck, Cole, Haji-Sheikh and Litkouhi.

Hardware:  This is a DOS-based program which employs color graphics.  As such, it can be used on a 486 machine in DOS mode, but will also run on Windows 95, 98 or NT.

Instructions for downloading free CONDS software:

Step 1.  Press the appropriate download button on the software web page for the CONDS download. (or press here)  This will begin the download of "haji.exe" which is a self-expanding executable zip file.

Step 2.  Unzip "haji.exe" by double-clicking on it in the Windows Explorer window or desktop, as appropriate.  This will place three files in the directory you designate.  These files are:
