Biography
After a career holding executive positions in non-profit organizations, Jane turned her passion, watercolor painting, into a new, full-time career. She studied art with Frank Ryan who is most noted for his artwork on the Jackie Gleason show. In addition, she studied at the Woodstock School of Art and with nationally known artists Richard Segalman, Margaret M. Martin, Bill Carter and Sue Archer.
Working primarily in transparent watercolor, Jane's work is representational. Her love of children and the human form is reflected in her work. She is sometimes outside painting in plein air to capture the sights, sounds, and smells of South Florida.
Jane has a Master's Degree from Florida Atlantic University. She is a member of the Gold Coast, Southern, and Florida Watercolor Societies, The Coral Springs Artist Guild, and Portrait Society of America. Her works are in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
