Studio Workshops and Lectures
Quilting Design Studio - 1917 Restored Colonial
Recently Janet and her husband Peter bought a second residence near Portland, Oregon to use as a design studio and teaching facility. Now, in addition to her workshops on the road, students of quilt design may enjoy learning from Janet in small groups at her private studio.
The house is located conveniently to downtown Portland, the Portland International Airport and nearby I-205 accommodations. Just minutes away from Portland's Sellwood antique district and legendary Elk Rock Island, the property itself holds a bit of history.

Once the home of a sea captain, the three storied building sits proudly at the top of a hill near the Willamette River where he did commerce between Portland and Oregon City.
The first floor is dedicated to classroom and meeting areas with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and delightfully appointed sunroom. The second floor holds Janet's personal design space with a large working wall, a second fireplace and a peek-a-boo view of the mountains. The third, attic level is occupied as a design office for Peter.
