Ryan Anzures is an artist and musician part of two musical groups: The R.A.T. and Disturbing New Trend.

THE RYAN ANZURES TRIO / The R.A.T. is made up solely of musician and multi-disciplined artist, Ryan Anzures, who creates a totally raw and unenhanced aesthetic to his music by using only a Squier Bullet bass, Roland Human Rhythm Composer, Akai Headrush pedal, Boss SYB pedal and an MXR distortion pedal.

Ryan's formative years were spent growing up in P.G. county, Maryland where his love of music, especially native to his Washington D.C, began to flourish. This eclectic music scene led to his appreciation of many different forms of music, especially R&B, Jazz, Psychedelic, Go-Go, Dub, Hip Hop, Punk, and Hardcore. He moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1999 to begin his formal artistic training and has since been able to work artistically with culture cultivating brands such as Nike, Stussy, and aNYthing. At the age of 27, Ryan formed the fictitious 3 man outfit of a drummmer, a bassist, and a vocalist. The Ryan Anzures Trio or The R.A.T. for short is mainly contained within himself, playing the role of all 3 parts.

Disturbing New Trend is Ryan Anzures, Upendo Taylor, and Lee Wilkie. The trio, all 3 respected visual artists in their own right, first met at a sweatshop labor house in 2006 and would later form the group, D.N.T, in 2008.

Known to some as a myth, D.N.T.'s main component comes from the brash and rebellious nature that has sweltered over the years of toiling under the repressive systems that plague everday life. From interpersonal relationships to government bureaucracy to the inhalation of controlled substances, D.N.T. take a "Fuck You" approach to their music. Not in a form of violence, but in a response to the individuals that create these repressive systems. Disturbing New Trend is the people's music. We are here to voice the ever growing concerns of our society's people in this time of depression, but also to have fun and do what we do in the process.
