STUDIO POLICY
MISSED LESSONS
There will be no make-up lessons or refunds for missed lessons. To avoid missing a lesson, you are encouraged to switch lessons with another student. Check the lesson schedule to find an alternate lesson time. Use the student contact list (which is e-mailed to each family) and call another student to switch lessons. If it is necessary for me to cancel lessons due to snow conditions, etc., the cancellation will be posted on the main page of my website and on my telephone answering machine. Each student involved in the cancellation, will be offered a make-up lesson. Teacher cancellations will always be made-up.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR EVENTS I will gladly coach and help students prepare for any extra events such as monster concerts, school musicals, talent shows, etc. Occasionally, we must plan extra time outside the regular lesson time. I strongly support such activities and I will try to attend the events if possible.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES Students should practice a minimum of five days per week with the length of time to be determined by the student's level. Parents can help by providing practice times that are free from distractions. Students should arrive at their lesson on time and with all currently assigned books and their assignment notebook. Insufficient practice, excessive missed lessons, and not having the correct materials at lessons may lead to a recommendation that lessons be discontinued.
