War plugging is a term I came up with to describe the advertising messages found in Access Point SSIDs.
"War Plugging is the art of advertising using your SSID to convey a message to NetStumblers and Wi-Bo's who stumble across your Access Point." - Jay DeBoer
I can already see things like "Mention this AP get 10% off" and "7-11 - No public restrooms". AP now has a double meaning with Access Point or Air Plug.
Some intentional and some not so intentional :)
