GesherCity Arlington Cluster e-VENTS
GesherCity Arlington Cluster
Hello,
I'm Jay
.
I'm glad you got in touch with me about the GesherCity Arlington Cluster. GesherCity is a
non-profit entrepreneurial venture connecting adults to the Jewish community. I re-launched the GesherCity Arlington Cluster in July
2003 after heading the GesherCity Jazz Cluster from January to June 2003. If you'd like to hear about the types of events we hold,
read on. The Arlington Cluster holds both social action/volunteer and happy hour events in Arlington and downtown Washington, D.C.
Previous happy hour gatherings have included trips to Iota, a hot Arlington
club seen on "The West Wing" to hear the Josh Dodes Band. We've also been to well-known
Washington venues like Bohemian Caverns, a historic jazz club in DC.
If you'd like to learn about up coming cluster events, feel free to regularly check the
GesherCity Arlington Cluster Calendar
or get in touch with me by e-mail
.
A bit about me. I've lived in the Washington Metropolitan Area since college and I moved to Arlington in July 2003, having attended
undergraduate and graduate school in DC. I started off as a journalist, first covering social welfare policy and later reporting
exclusively on e-commerce and Internet security. I also did stints in security consulting and software development. I've now moved
into government. I particularly enjoy jazz, swing and all types of Latino music. I love Spanish and all things "Chile" (I'm not
talking about the food). I love hiking and even have tried my foot at biking. I'm also a bit of an artist
too.
If you have any suggestions for future events please let me know! To find out about our next event, please e-mail me at
krasnowj@georgetown.edu.
Please feel free to browse through my below list of other Jewish organizations. I look forward to meeting you!
