The Big Kids were one of the original eight teams in the history of adult kickball. The 1998 team finished 3-4-0, and through a remarkable run of upsets, won the 1998 Founders Cup by upsetting the top-seeded Kickin' Chicken 4-2 in the final.

The 1999 team, led this time by Mark Klopfenstein, also finished with a 3-4-0 record, this time in a 13-team league. They beat the archrival Playground Avengers 13-9 in the first round of the Founders Cup tournament before falling 4-3 to the eventual champion Afterschool Specials.

2000 marked the debut of Hilary and JP as the Big Kids' captains, and they steamrolled the now 16-team league all year, eventually finishing 5-2-2 and going into the tournament as the 4th seed. A furious game against the Keg Kickers in the first round of the tournament ended in defeat, 5-3.

In 2001, JP and Hilary led a pack of rookies onto the field and had another winning season, finishing the regular season with a 5-4-0 record that included fantastic performances versus the Screaming Caissons and in the first round of the Capital Cup tournament versus the Last Ones Picked. The archrival Playground Avengers eventually eliminated the Big Kids in a second-round 2-1 nailbiter.

2002 was a banner year for the Big Kids, as they rolled to a 6-2 rain-soaked regular season record, four of the wins by shutout, and then caught fire in the Capital Cup Tournament, making it all the way to the final before losing to No Whammies. The final record of 9-3 was the best the Big Kids have ever had.

2003 was a transition year for the Big Kids, as they welcomed a slew of new talented rookies to the team and bid farewell to many of their standbys. But the foundation is laid for a fantastic 2004, when all the pieces fall into place.

In 2004, the Big Kids sprinted out of the gate but an unusual late-season slump had them finish the season 4-4-1. They got the fire going again in the playoffs, rolling past the Bus Drivers and putting up an incredible fight against defending world champions My Left Foot before succumbing.

2005 was a rollercoaster year for the Big Kids, as injuries, jobs, and higher education prevented them from fielding a consistent lineup. A big win over Dropkicker United was the season highlight, and the most consistent performance of the year. The real accomplishment was at the bar, where the Big Kids won their first-ever Crystal Pitcher!

2006 brought unprecedented success to the Big Kids sideline, as the team finished in first ($#&@ing) place in DCKickball's Capital Conference. An eight game win streak, three of them shutouts, was the highlight of the season as the Big Kids continued the tradition of stellar World Cup years.

2007 was the Big Kids' best regular season showing effort ever, finishing 8-0-1 and entering the Peoples Cup tournament as the #2 seed. They made it all the way to Super Saturday before bowing out to the eventual champions in a tense semifinal encounter.

2008 was the Big Kids' third straight 8-win season, increasing their record in DCKickball to an amazing 27-5-1. This year, Brian Davis took over as coaching captain, and results were immediate, as the team shattered its record for runs scored in a season. But yet again, the championship eluded them. A hungry team returns for 2009 with unfinished business on their minds.
