I decided to put a checkered flag pattern on the bow. So i began by drawing a set of straight guide-lines. Then I put down a ton of masking tape and painted them with a big ole' brush.

The final product.

My other non-hydro-building-grandad was a sign painter and boat painter. So I put his trademark on my transom.
