The "Portland Transmission" Cruise-In is the official start of the summer cruising season. Kelly Sweeney and his two boys, Joe and Brian, and I headed out early on Saturday Morning, May 10th. This is an event for the early risers because it starts at 9AM and is over at Noon. The turnout for this show is arguably the best of the year. Many of the owners of cars at this show only go to this one. With a turnout of about 200 cars, we were treated to a menu that ran from vintage military vehicles to a new Viper GTS. Anyone who is interested in old dirt track cars, vintage roadsters, or 427 Cobras was not disappointed. Most of the cars there were of a high caliber of fit and finish and it was well worth the visit.
