2012: Earth Plan celebrates 40 years of parks and recreation planning excellence.

Since its origin in 1970, EARTH PLAN has successfully completed a broad range of projects and a variety of challenges. The firm’s problem solving process, market oriented philosophy and quality performance have earned Earth Plan Associates a reputation for consulting excellence.

Eighty-years of combined experience in the profession of parks and recreation has been invaluable for Earth Plan principals. They bring a multitude of on-the-job experiences to each and every project. Earth Plan focuses equal concern on issues of finance, maintenance and public safety.

MAINTENANCE CONSIDERATIONS are absolutely essential when new projects are being designed. Earth Plan believes these important considerations need not be restrictive. A viable, maintainable project must instead be carefully and creatively planned - not compromised - to achieve service objectives.

GRANTS AND DONATIONS are often necessary to finance park projects. Earth Plan is proud of it’s grants success record. A full spectrum of grant writing service is available to all of our clients. In addition, we have established park foundations as a vehicle for donations for many communities.

PRODUCTIVITY ASSESSMENT is a unique service provided by Earth Plan Associates. We evaluate the entire grounds maintenance operation and recommend productivity improvements.

The cost of this service can often be more than recovered in the first year of modified operations. It is not unusual to reduce maintenance costs by 15 to 40% and similarly increase productivity.

PUBLIC AND EMPLOYEE SAFETY. We approach each task with utmost concern for safety and security. Designs are adapted to reduce the agency’s liability exposure and enhance project security.

GRAPHICS are worth a thousand words, and, when appropriate, are used extensively by Earth Plan to convey a thought, a message or a design scheme. We prepare graphics as an effective tool to communicate a project to potential sponsors and donors, in addition to the general public.
