Thank you to all who worked to elect me to NCCo Council and to those independent-spirited people who voted for me.  While our total vote count was not what we had hoped for, there are many, many other ways the campaign was successful.  Over the course of the past eight months, we were in every neighborhood (some 130) door-to-door.  We clearly identified issues of concern to the residents of the 9th District and offered well thought-out solutions.  In many ways, the Cannon campaign forced the other candidates to speak to these issues so that residents can hold them accountable for their actions in the future.   On a personal note, I am deeply grateful to the scores of people who stood with me during the election.  Being your candidate has been a terrific experience for me.  Now we must continue our efforts to build the Green Party and our work to create a more livable world here, in our own little corner of it,  New Castle County.
