Alamere is awesome. If you only get to do 2 hikes in the bay area,
choose this one and the Stinson beach hike. We waited until sunset to get
pictures of Alamere beach at sunset and got great pictures of Pelican hike on
the way back. I do not recommend doing this without a flash light.
We got caught on a new moon. One thing to keep in mind is that the final
jaunt to Alamere falls on the beach goes through pure poison oak. Make
sure you put on some poison oak blocker before you attempt this.

Great Hikes
