Top notch graphics and animation.

The levels are designed very well. Each one has its own look and feel, with very unique and memorable obstacle courses.

The weapon buying system adds one more dimension to the platformer game arena.

Insomniac has managed to pull off weapon-firing adrenaline intensity combined with platform jumping fun.

Excellent character creation. All the characters are fun, memorable, and unique.

The tutorial talks to you giving you tips as you play. It is seamless and streamlined. Nice touch.

It's interesting how this game manages to integrate the awesome adrenaline of big guns with cutesy platformers, and as soon as Ratchet & Clank 1 was released, Jak II copied the same idea. Jak & Daxter 1 did not have a focus on badass weapons, but Jak II did because it was released after Ratchet & Clank 1. This franchise has influence.

Not much different from the last Ratchet & Clank conceptually.

Weak story. Not much character development. You're just a hero on a quest to save the day, and you succeed. Woop tee doo.

There are some bugs with the camera occationally getting stuck out of bounds so you can't see yourself.
