Adolf Friedrich VI Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (17.6.1882 - 24.2.1918) place of birth: Neustrelitz, Großherzogtum Mecklenburg Final ruling Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Adolf Friedrich was born in Neustrelitz as the eldest son of Hereditary Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich and Princess Elisabeth von Anhalt. He succeeded his father in 1914, shortly before the outbreak of the Great War, and then remained in power until he committed suicide in February of 1918.
