Hermann Brecht

Herman Bernhard Brecht
(1853 - 1927)
place of birth:

German lieutenant general who leading up to mobilization had served at inspector general of the First Cavalry Inspectorate. Brecht was given command of the 1st Cavalry Division during the first two years of the war, eventually replacing Otto von Garnier as commander of 6th Cavalry Corps (HKK 6) until late 1917. His corps was reorganized into Generalkommando 59 for the final two years of the war.
