Julius Friedrich Riemann  
(16.4.1855 - 15.6.1935)
place of birth:  Graudenz  (Grudziadz - West Prussia)


General of infantry who at outbreak commanded 15th Division under VIII. Corps commander Tülff von Tschepe und Weidenbach. Two months later he replaced Tülff as commander and then lead VI. Corps. He finished the final year of the war on inactive reserve status. General Riemann was married to Sophie Korn. After the war, the National Socialists honored him by naming the army barracks in Düren: Julius-Riemann-Kaserne.
