Arnold Feodor Alois Maria Gustav von Winckler 
(17.2.1856 - 24.7.1945)
place of birth:  Neisse  (Nysa - Silesia)


Silesian general of infantry who upon mobilization was in command of 2nd Guards Infantry Division (attached to Buelow's Second Army) on the Western Front. As commander of IV. Reserves (1915-16), he was awarded the Pour le Merite in for distinguished service during the Austro-German invasion of Serbia. He later replaced Gallwitz as commanding general of the Eleventh Army.
