Reimar Constantin von Alvensleben (26.8.1809 - 28.3.1892) place of birth: Eichenbarleben General Constantin von Alvensleben served the Imperial German Army as commander of the Third Army Corps. As an Imperial officer, he had previously seen action during the Danish War of 1864 and the Austro-Prussian War of 1866. In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71, von Alvensleben commanded the Third Army Corps at Vionville, Gravelotte and Orléans. |
