Army Corps. Earlier in his career, von Bülow
had served as personal military instructor to young Prince Wilhelm von Hohenzollern, and continued as his aide-de-camp when
he became Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1888.
Adolf von Bülow was initially
associated with the 3rd Guards Uhlan Regiment in Potsdam and was later
promoted to head up a cavalry brigade. He then served as commander of VIII.
Army Corps headquarters in Koblenz from 1895 to 1896.
