Georg Friedrich Alfred Graf von Fabrice

Alfred von Fabrice served
in the Royal Saxon Military as a cavalry general and as the Minister of
War. He was born in northern France into the family of Saxon
Generalleutnant Fabrice. He fought with Prussia in the Danish War
of 1864 and against the Prussians in 1866. During the Franco-Prussian
War of 1870-71, von Fabrice was Governor-General presiding over the
XIIth Army Corps district.
