Otto Theodor Freiherr von Manteuffel (3.2.1805 - 26.11.1882) place of birth: Lübben-Spreewald, Brandenburg Conservative Prussian political leader who succeeded General Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Brandenburg as Minister President from 19 December 1850 to 6 November 1858. Baron von Manteuffel also served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Otto was born on 3 February 1805 in Lübben. He studied law at the University of Halle (Saale) and soon thereafter began his career in Prussian politics. Graf von Brandenburg brought him in as his Minister of the Interior in November 1848, participating in the drafting of the December 1848 Constitution (Verfassung). He died on 26 November 1882 at Luckau, Niederlausitz.
