April
12, 2007: We had another OB appointment today. I had
to drink the oh so lovely glucola this time for my glucose test;
yummy - ya right! Actually it didn't taste nearly as bad as I had
been told, thank goodness. It tasted like flat orange soda so sucking
it down was no problem! Made my tummy feel a little sick after,
but no big deal. The blood draw went fine for that and they also
tested my iron level too. My iron level is good and will know more
about the glucose test as of Monday if I don't pass. No sugar or
protein in my urine and we are measuring right on target. Also according
to my dr and what I was describing to him I have been having some
contractions, but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing to worry
about. I go back on May 3 and then after that I think I will start
going every 2 weeks.

16, 2007: No word from the OB about my glucose level
so that means I passed! No gestational diabetes for us! YAY!

19, 2007: I was on the playground at one of the Head
Start sites at work today and was playing with the children. One
little girl, who is VERY tall, came running up to me and asked me
to pick her up. I told her I could not because of the baby in my
belly. She then began asking all sorts of questions about the baby,
such as if I knew if it was girl or boy baby; she then moved onto
asking about where he baby's head and other body parts were in my
belly and I told her I did not know so she started rubbing her hands
all over my belly to find them. She then stated to announce, "I
found the baby's head! I found the baby's leg! I found the babys'
arm!" She then came to my belly button, which sticks straight
out these days, and says, "I found the baby's feet!" I
laughed so much and then told her that was my belly button, not
the baby's feet. She quickly dropped her hands away from my belly
and said, "Eww!" and ran away to play! Hehe.... Out of
the mouths of babes!

24, 2007: I found a really great price on the breast
pump I wanted! Phew... I was able to get it today, so that is one
thing I can scratch off my list! YAY!
April
27, 2007: We have finally reached the final count down!
I am offcially 30 weeks pregnant, so only 10 weeks until Kayley
makes her debut into our family! I can hardly believe it! Where
has the time gone? Thankfully, I am feeling good, other then a bit
tired. I can't believe how big my belly is getting now. People keep
asking me if I am sure there is only one baby in there?? I just
laugh and say oh yes - ONLY one! I don't think that people realize
that I am only 5'0" and have a very short torso so there isn't
much room in there for her so she has to grow outwards.

28, 2007: We had our 3/d ultrasound today and it was
GREAT! We found out, thankfully, that she is in the head down position
which is awesome since she was transverse last time I had an ultrasound
a 20 weeks. Also she is soooo darn cute, but OH so stubborn! At
first she was facing my spine so getting her to turn and face us
was a trick in itself! Also she SLEPT almost the entire time! No
matter how much poking and prodding we did she slept! LOL! Silly,
silly, stubborn girl! At 20 weeks she loved showing us her feet
and this time at 30 weeks it was NO different! She kept stretching
one of her legs up OVER her head!!! At one point she reached out
and was playing with her toes! SO CUTE! Also towards the end she
put her BIG TOE into her mouth and was sucking on it!!! OH MY GOSH!!
I nearly died when I saw that... it made me laugh and melt at the
same time! She has the biggest cheeks (takes after ME) and the cutest
little button nose. Oh, and VERY long fingers! I have created an
album
with all the stills taken from the ultrasound and below is the actual
video from the ultrasound session. (It make take a while to load
as it is almost a 1/2 hour long, but well worth it!)

29, 2007: We had a baby shower thrown for us today.
It was at the Chateau here in Manchester and began at 9:30 AM; we
had a yummy breakfast buffet and there was about 30 people in attendance.
I brought a picture frame with mat to be signed by all the guests
that had a picture from our 3/D ultrasound. We got just about everything
we could have ever dreamed about for Kayley:
* Swing
* Bouncy Seat
* Highchair
* Travel System (car seat/stroller combo)
* TON of clothes
* Diapers / wipes
* Blankets and stuffed animals
* Jolly Jumper
* Bath seat / towels / lotions / soaps / toys
* Exosaucer
* Toys
* Books
* Monitor
* and MANY other things I am sure I forgot to mention!
It was amazing
and I can not get over the kindness and generosity of everyone!
THANK YOU ALL!! Pictures can be seen here.
