Feb 1, 2007: I am pretty sure that I am feeling baby move now! While watching tv tonight I felt as though I was being poked from inside my belly! Very odd, but VERY NEAT! Two weeks and counting until we find out baby's gender! Keep your fingers crossed that he/she cooperates!

Feb 3, 2007: We bought a baby name book at Barnes and Noble last night and so begin the task of choosing the perfect name for this child. I have started looking through it and making a list of names I like and Damian will do the same then we will compare. Speaking of names, here is a funny joke I read today:

A pregnant woman from Washington, D.C. gets in a car accident and falls into a deep coma. Asleep for nearly six months, when she wakes up she sees that she is no longer pregnant and frantically asks the doctor about her baby. The doctor replies, "Ma'am you had twins! A boy and a girl. Your brother from Maryland came in and named them."

The woman thinks to herself, "No, not my brother... he's an idiot!"

She asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?"

"Denise."

"Wow, that's not a bad name, I like it! What's the boy's name?"

"Denephew. "

HA HA HA!!!!!!

Feb 9, 2007: I have added a pool for anyone who visits this site to make a guess on when baby will arrive and all the details! Please take time to make a guess!!!

Feb 15, 2007: Today was the day of our BIG ultrasound; Of course I had to drink 32 oz of water before we went in and I felt like my bladder was going to EXPLODE! When we got there we had to wait for a few minutes before they took us in and it seemed like an eternity as we waited. The tech came out, called my name, and we followed her down the loooooong hall to the ultrasound room. Once in there I hopped up on the table and the tech poured the ooey gooey gel on my belly. She asked us if we wanted to know what gender our baby was if she could tell and of course we both said YES! She began the ultrasound at the adorable feet where we counted five wee little toes on each foot, then onto shins, knees, and thighs. Then the tech asked us if we were sure that we wanted to know he baby's gender to which we answered yes again. She announced to us that we are having a GIRL!!! Then we proceeded to check the rest of her body parts and everything looks WONDERFUL right down to her ten little fingers. She kept sticking up her feet, as if to show us how cute they are! Hehe... Silly girl. All of her organs look great and right on target - heart, kidneys, stomach, kidneys, and brain. They did tell us that she is a little chubby; ideally she should be in the 50th % for weight and according to their computer she is in the 63rd! Also she is laying from right to left as opposed to to up and down, but there is plenty of time for her to turn herself around before she makes her big arrival. It is amazing how BIG she has gotten in such a short time period. Only 8 weeks have gone by since our last ultrasound and she looks so much like a baby now it is amazing!

After the ultrasound we met with the third OB in the office, Dr. Goldner. It was a VERY quick appointment. I think we saw him for all of 5 minutes. He asked me how I was feeling and said there was no protein in my urine and that my blood pressure was good. I was really relieved to hear that my bp was good since I had gone to my primary care doc a couple of times in the past month and my numbers had been REALLY high: 150/94! YIKES! He told me not to worry about it since it was far too early to even think about checking me for pre-eclamsia. I have also been dizzy when I lay down, roll over at night, or sit up. He response was, "I get dizzy too! Just take it easy when you do these things." Also at times my heart races and he told me as long as it didn't happen often not o worry about it since there is so much more fluid pumping through my body these days. So far out of the three OBs we have meet, he is my least favorite. His bedside manner wasn't the greatest. I don't know if he was just busy or if that is him, but I hope he's not the one on call when our little on decides to make her entrance!

Feb 17, 2007: My mum and I went to the Woman's Expo in Manchester this weekend and there was a clairvoyant there who was answering peoples questions. My mum got up and asked her when the baby would arrive? The clairvoyant said that SHE would arrive 4 days early making her due date July 3rd and be healthy! We'll have to see if she was correct or not! Only time will tell!
