1, 2007: The girls at my work threw my a baby shower
today! How sweet of them! It was potluck style and all the girls
brought something! It was very yummy! Then they gave me a bunch
of gifts for Kayley too! As a group they all chipped in and bought
a pack-n-play! WOW! Also we were given a few really sweet outfits,
a swaddler blanket, a book, and a TON of newborn diapers!
Here is
Part II of the Bumbo video from You Tube which I posted in the April
section. (If you have not seen the first one go watch it first!)

7, 2007: Today was our 35 week 6 day appointment. I
had my Group B Strep test done; we will get results at my next weeks
visit. All is well with myself and Kayley. I have gained only a
little bit so I am just over an 11 lb gain total. It just blows
my mind to think that in just about a month Damian and I will have
our precious bundle to snuggle!! WOW!
We are making
good progress in Kayley's nursery. We had the floor refinished and
it is all painted. Now we are worknig on replacing all the moulding
/ casing around all the doors, windows, and the base board as well.
We have all the wood and Damian is working hard along with Dad V's
help to get it all up. We are also putting up a chair rail around
her walls.

14, 2007: At this weeks appointment, all is well again!
The results from my Strep B test are negative so no extra antibiotics
for me when labor starts. Phew. I also recieved a paper that tells
me what to do when labor starts, who to call, and when. I am now
considered "full term" (36 weeks 6 days), so if Kayley
were to make her appearance at any time she'd be just fine. All
is good with both of us; my belly is measuring a little bit behind,
by about a week or so, but it is nothing to be concerned with. They
also sent all my paperwork over to the hospital so if she does decide
to come early we are all set.
June
16, 2007: We took a Parenting Your Newborn
class today through the Elliot Hospial. It was very interesting!
We got to practice dressing, bathing, diapering, and holding a doll
about the size of a newborn. We also watched a video about newborns.
The class taught us what to expect during the first 6 weeks after
she is born.

21, 2007: My friend Kellee welcomed her beautiful daughter
Ryleigh Lynn into the world yesterday! She was born at 10:22 AM
via c-section. She was 20 1/2 inches long and 9 lbs 14 oz. Now we
just need Kayley her so she can have a play-mate! We went to visith
them at the hospital today and as I was holding Ryleigh, Kayley
began to kick me! It was like she was jealous or trying to play!
As soon as I handed Ryleigh over to my mom Kayley quieted down.
What a silly girl!
June
24, 2007: My dad brought over the crib today! It is
so beautiful! It is all set up in Kayley's room and everytime I
walk by the door of her room I get this goofy grin on my face! You
can see pictures of it in the nursery
section.
We also
tried to set up her bureau, but low and behold it is damaged! I
called Babies-R-Us right away and they agreed to order us an new
one. It should arrive in 1 to 2 weeks! I sure hope it comes in soon
since she could be here any time!
June
29, 2007: I haven't updated about the past few appointments
because there has been nothing new to report. All is well with both
Kayley and myself! I have gained a total of 14 1/4 lbs which is
fantastic! At todays appointment my blood pressure was a little
high - 142/66, but nothing to worry about. Two different OBs at
our practice has said that Kayley will not be very big at birth
- somewhere around 7 1/2 lbs! That's just fine with me! Our next
appointment will be the day before our due date so that is very
exciting! They will check me to see what progress is being made,
if any. I am hoping that Kayley can hold on for a bit since I really
want to go to my friend Sheryl's wedding on 7/7/07!
