Before I even graduated from High School I had been working on TV repair. In fact, I started
servicing color sets when I was 9 years old. After graduation from Central, I took an NRI course out of
Washington, D.C. which was, and still is on the cutting edge of electronics. It was a tough
course that required a score of 90 to pass. My dad then moved to Beaumont, Texas. I took a
number of courses at Lamar Tech and also have been to a lot of company schools.
On December
26, 1964.I started working at Bert's TV Repair in Helena. That was after I returned from the
National Guard. I was on standby to be called up during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and was
stationed up at Forrest City.
I have been married three times. But now I am a confirmed bachelor. I have a little dog that
keeps me good company. I had no children during the three marriages, for which I am grateful.
One thing that I'm proud of is my relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm very active in the
First Baptist Church up there on Columbia and Perry.
