BRIEF BIO:
After graduation, I went to Northeast Louisiana State College (now The University of Louisiana
at Monroe) with a major in Music Education.
Shortly after college, I married and we moved to Los Angeles where I assumed I would be the
big discovery of 1961. Didn't happen, but we did have a beautiful little girl whom we named Michelle.
Michelle is now 43 and has given
us 5 wonderful grandchildren, two of whom are married, which makes 7 wonderful grandchildren and
now 2 great-grandchildren. Life is wonderful.
After 3 years of marriage, Laura and I divorced, but have remained good friends. She is now
retired and lives with Michelle and her husband and family here in Atlanta. So, we are all
together again.
I have been with my life partner, Patrick Hutchison, for 26 years now and we live at the foot of
Stone Mountain in Stone Mountain Village, a suburb of Atlanta. Patrick is a composer and
musical director for theatre and on the faculty of Georgia Perimeter College. I am a paralegal
and office manager for one of the most prestigious construction management firms in the U.S. I
plan to work until they throw me out of there. I also am still involved in theatre and play
keyboard for a lot of the musical productions, plus Patrick and I have a jazz vocal group, SIGHS,
so I am using my education in music. One of Patrick's shows that he composed, THE HARVEY
MILK SHOW, has played all around the U.S. and has been quite successful. He is at work on his
third musical, which we hope will be produced soon and then land on Broadway, where he
deserves to be.
I have a very busy life; love my family; love my work and love my leisure time. Patrick and I
went to Italy last March and plan to go to London this May. We love Provincetown on Cape Cod
and love the Florida Gulf Coast, both of which we try to visit every year.
This is the cover art for my and Patrick's CD. It is
a compilation of songs that we play at church. Patrick is Music Director for the Atlanta Church
of Religious Science and I sometimes play keyboards with him. Religious Science is a wonderful
teaching and we love the church. Gives us the spirituality we need in our lives.
Wanted to share my wonderful family with everyone.
