Brief autobiography

My family moved from Barton to my home on N 4th Street in West Helena when I was about 4 years old. I have lived on the same street for 63 years. I married during my senior year in high school. M y first daughter was Cheryl Ann, born in November of 1956. She is now Cheryl Boone, and lives in Abingdon, Illinois. She has two daughters, Katie Ann, who is working in Peoria Illinois, and Sara Jean, who will be graduating from High School in Abingdon this may.

After a divorce I married Wayne Stevens in 1960. Wayne is also now retired. He had a milk distributorship.

We have a daughter born in 1963, Lori June Ekenseair, who now lives in Fayetteville. She has 2 sons, Adam and Curtis. Adam took a degree from the University of Arkansas and is in a doctorate program at the University of Texas. Curtis has just gone to basic training in the Navy at Great Lakes.

I also have a step daughter, Debbie Duensing, who lives in Kennett Missouri. Her husband is a surgeon. She has a daughter, Amber who is an RN in Conway, Arkansas. She is, married to Seth Harrell. Amber has two children, Lauren and Jackson, my two great grand children.

I started working at Phillips National Bank in 1959. I continued to work for the bank for my whole career. It changed to 1st National Bank at some point. I started as a book keeper, then as a teller, then retired as an assistant vice president in operations. I was over the book keepers and the computers. I have been retired since 1988.
