Tennie Lee Oxner was one of the most popular girls in the class during the junior high years at Woodruff
School. She was also one of the brightest. During high school she became engaged early to Marion Woods,
married, either while she was in high school or immediately after. They moved at some point
to Greenville, Mississippi, where Tennie Lee became ill with cancer at a very young age. The Social
Security Death index shows that she died in May of 1969 at the age of 31 years. Marion Woods died
in Greenville, Mississippi, in 1992.
