Hi All!
I am being pulled kicking and screaming into the 21st Century and don't
know if I can do all the things I need to do to access everyone. I guess you
could say that this is a test.
It is so wonderful hearing from so many and really makes me look forward to
the reunion.
Bill and I still live in Maumelle and he still practices 4 days a week in
West Helena.Still loves going to work every day and is still going to school to
learn new things about dentistry.
In our family we have our son, Bill and his wife, Sonya and their three
children, Andrew, Emma and Luke. They are 9, 6, and 4. Our daughter, Leanne and her
husband, Kyle Johnson live here in Little Rock with their precious 8 month
old daughter, Kylee. i keep her two or more days a week and am so enjoying
having one close, since Bill and his family are in Atlanta.
For those of you who don't know this, I received a Cochlear Implant in August
of "03 and have regained my hearing to an amazing extent. I had lost all my
enjoyment of music, especially during those "barren" years so for the first
Christmas after the CI, Bill gave me an album of Elvis music. It features all of
the "oldies" that we danced and screamed to and I just love it. Richard and
Patrick have shared some of their music with me and I play it all the time.
The best thing has been to hear my grandchildrens' voices, something I
couldn't do with their parents. I still am not comfortable talking on the regular
phone all the time, but I am working on it and do talk to family members,
something I hadn't done in 45 years.
Bill and I will celebrate our 48th anniversay on March 16th and just like our
days in school together, I can't believe it has been that long.
I will write more soon - just bear with me and know that each of you are in
my thoughts.
