Jackie Williams
Jackie (Williams) Eastwood
Harrell Eastwood

Deceased. Jackie Williams was living in Memphis with her husband, Harrell Eastwood. Both she and her husband have passed away. They had one son who was living in the family home in Memphis the last time Joyce made contact with them. The SSDI shows her date of death as November 11, 1999.

This letter about Jackie Williams was sent by her brother, Joe Williams.

Jackie was blessed to have the opportunity to be able to stay at home and not have to work. Harold made a good living and they were able to have a good life without her having to be employed. Too, she probably wouldn't like to work for "the man" anyway. Jackie enjoyed wearing fashionable clothes and jewelry and worked hard to stay trim so she would look nice. She was always concerned about nutrition and eating properly. Since she die not work outside the home, Jackie was able to give time doing things that interested her. She was involved in the Ladies Bible Study in Memphis and also helped with the Prison Ministry there. I was concerned for her because she would sometimes meet guys who will use you and take advantage of situations even n the name of Christ, but that didn't seem to phase her. She was strong in her convictions and I believe she could tell where to get off if they bothered her.

I know that you are aware of her artistic talents and Jackie loved to use them. She helped several years with the Memphis Theater on designing sets for the plays they would do. Jackie also loved to travel and see the world. She wanted to see what was outside West Helena and she did. I know that she traveled to Greece when Harold was still living. After Harold passed, she had the opportunity to travel to Rome and Paris. During those trips I am thankful for Gary, her son, was able to go with her so she didn't have to go by herself.

I am thankful for Jackie's life and the sister I got to know when I finally became an adult. Her being eight years older than me I know growing up I was a brat to her, and I was a lot of the time. Jackie's life counted for the right things and I know I will see her again one day in heaven.

I am also enclosing a picture. It is the most recent I have. When First Baptist ordained me she traveled here to Yukon to be a part of the special day in my life. I will never forget that. My wife Margaret and our son, Joe, Jr. are also in the picture. I wish I still had all that hair.

Sincerely Yours Joe Williams.
