Jim, you did a great job with your website. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm not even in your class. It helped
me locate some of my friends. Thanks.

My wife (Billie Frances Holland) graduated with Dan Casteel's wife in 1960. We met and ate with
them in Dyersburg, TN last evening. Dan told us about your website (my niece Betty Lindsey
had, too), and he gave us the address. I have just looked at some of the bios and pictures - I knew
several from your class - including you. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but hated to see so many deaths
listed. I hope you all have a great reunion.

Am I ever happy to see this website!! Am I ever happy to be alive!!!! In November, 1996,
following the 40th class reunion, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare form of cancer,
and was given less than 5 years to live. Well, I'm not a ghost, because after a 7 year fight, I was
considered "cured" of that incurable cancer. My wife, Anna Elizabeth, and I are retired. I retired
as Director of the Central AR Serious Offender Program. I currently conduct evaluations of
juvenile and adult correctional facilities throughout the U.S. in conjunction with a team from the
American Correctional Association. That means I can work when I want to. We live in Bryant,
AR, southwest of Little Rock.

Jim:
How do you have the time to keep up with all the webmaster duties and read all the "chat-line". Are you retired?
I have a hard time keeping my inbox clean, but wouldn't miss a one. Your efforts to champion the hard task of
controlling this lively group are very much appreciated. We are all enjoying the journey to our class reunion.

Hi Jim,
Great to hear from you, the website looks great.
Even though our old hometown of Helena-West Helena is nothing like it used to be, I would still
like to have the reunion here. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Hi Sylvia,
I would love to have a copy of the Tom Thumb Wedding. I remember going home and telling
Mama that Alan got to be Carolyn Anne's groom because he was taller than I was, but that I got
to be the Good Man!!!

Great site!
How on earth did my little brother do it??
Just kidding, Jim.
Obviously the class of '55 needs something like it.
Thanks, Jim and class of '56.

Hi Everyone:
I have a second grade picture (most of us are in there) of the "Tom Thumb Wedding". I
brought a lot of copies with me to the last class reunion. I will try to send it to the web site.
Maybe we can identify everyone before the reunion. I will have more copies made for next year's
reunion in case some of you did not get one.
Have a great day!!
Love to all,
Sylvia Barker Meeks

It is so great to open my e-mail each day and read messages from my friends in the class of '56. I
really look forward to hearing about and from you. It is so much fun!!
My husband, Bob, and I have had a very good life and many blessings. I will write my bio later,
but I just wanted you to know, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone.
Mary Ellen, I wish you the very best. Please know that all of us are thinking of you each day and
praying for you.
Thanks again, Jim, for making all this possible for us.
My love to you all,

Jim,
I see that a large number of our classmates still live
in the Helena/West Helena area. I am for letting them
decide if the reunion should be held in our old hometown.
Should it come to a choice between Memphis and Little Rock,
I opt for Little Rock. Take care.

Even though Jim is not a computer buff, I have been reading the web site and keeping him informed. He can't
sit still long enough and gets frustrated if things don't happen as fast as he would like. I bet things
haven't changed much since he was in high school. We are looking forward to being there.

Hello,
This is Lola Snyder Powell's daughter, Brenda. My mother does not have the internet at home. I have
accessed this site for her and have given her one of my secondary e-mail addresses if anyone would
like to contact her. I can copy your e-mail and give it to her. Her office is half a block from my home so
during weekdays she's quick access for me. Oh, and how does one get the password for the e-mail
address section?

Hi Jim, You have done a wonderful job getting this all together. I am very impressed! I wish I could be there
for the meeting on April 24, but I have plans, that were made a year ago, to be with friends in Oregon. I know
you all will have a wonderful time. I wish I could be there. If you have another one, please let me know. Would it
be possible to change my e-mail address? The e-mail you have goes directly to Bob's computer. My address
has an "sm"in it and it will go directly to my computer. My address is (entered in email list)
I talked with Ann Casteel the other night. She sounded great. I can hardly wait to see her again. This is
going to be so much fun. Again, you are doing a great job and all of us appreciate your hard work.

Hi Jim,
I would be happy to be on the reunion committee if you still need people and there is something
I can do from Charlotte.
Also I just took the poll and could only mark one suggestion in each category so I'll give you the ohters here.
April or May sound good to me but I would avoid Mother's Day weekend.
Friday night social as well as Saturday night "formal" dinner and Sunday breakfast all sound good to me.
(My poll results will indicate I favor April and Saturday formal dinner.)
Thanks again for doing all this for us. Sophie

Jim,
I was talking to Fran about where to have the reunion and he reminded me that my brother, George's class
had their 45th reunion in Helena this past summer. He and Joan went and had a wonderful time.
I can find out what facilities they used if you'd like.
Also something I thought of this morning when thinking about moving it to another city -- You don't want to
offend those who still live in Helena. It seems to me that at our 25th, few of those living there attended
which was sad. It would be an insult to those who do care to say their town wasn't good enough for us
anymore. What difference does it make what is there now? That's where we grew up and went to school.
Just some thoughts. Thanks for doing this. Sophie

Jimmy, Have enjoyed looking at everybody's addresses and going over the picture again. Carol
Danziger Pasternack's address is wrong. It is 10911 Kirwick, Houston, TX. 77024. Also, Gene's
name is not listed with me, and I would like for it to be. Keep in touch and I'll do the same when
Gene is in town!!!!!!

Jim, this really looks good. I can tell you have done a lot of work on it. We are in the "boonies"
and have old=fashioned dial-up modem, so it takes forever for anything to download. However, I
was able to get the class picture and several classmates. I understand the Thompson House in
Helena is now owned by the college and they do reunions there. (This according to Fred, my
ex-husband) and they just had their 50 last year. Had a social thing there one night and then at the
Country Club for dinner the next. I never go to Helena any more, since no family, so have really
lost touch with things. Anyway, the class of 55 is working on theirs now I understand.

Hello! It's exciting to think about our 50th Reunion and I'm really looking forward to being there.
The only other reunion I attended was the 1966 (ten year) event and by the way, if anyone has a
class photo from that event, I would love to buy a copy of it. Jim, thanks for setting up this web
site for us; good job!

good old days. We could do a small assessment to cover the costs.
