The Magical Powers of Waterby Jeni Miller
I am amazed at the significance water has played in my own life. I was born a Scorpio—a water sign—on the south shore of Long Island, NY. My first poem as a child was about the power of Neptune—the ancient Roman god of the sea. I spent most of my childhood on a lake where I learned to swim, fish, sail and water ski. My high school science fair project was about water pollution. And I now live in Seattle, Washington, which is surrounded by many bodies of water. So it should not come as a surprise that my current passion and work centers on the magical properties of water. Water is a necessary component of our bodies. Each and every cell is surrounded by and filled with water. Our body’s health and its chemical and biological functions depend on water. Proper levels of water in the body increase the efficiency of the immune system; it is needed for the digestion, absorption and metabolism of food; increases the efficiency of respiration; improves the elimination of toxins; enhances cellular communication; and prevents DNA damage. Dr. Fereydoon Batmanghelidji, M.D., and author of “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water,” believes that many of our physical ailments are dehydration-induced disorders (studies have shown that 75% of the people in our country are chronically dehydrated). He asserts that cancer, asthma, joint and back pain, hypertension, fatigue, headaches, high cholesterol, obesity, gastro-intestinal and urinary problems can be avoided or cured by simply drinking plenty of healthy water.
Rituals honoring the element of water are found in every culture. The Egyptians had feast and festival days that paid tribute to the cyclical flooding and receding of the Nile River. Rainmaking ceremonies were, and in many instances still are, common throughout African and Native American tribes. Many spiritual and religious practices worldwide also acknowledge water’s cleansing and transformational qualities. Christian baptisms and Hindu burial rites on the Ganges River are two examples. Early Turkish baths, 18th century European spas and trips to the village well provided opportunities to immerse oneself in the restorative element and to come together as a community to socialize and connect. Today, many of us flock to ocean shores, lakes, and rivers when we want to relax; and watery places like island beaches, Venice and Niagara Falls are popular vacation destinations. Instinctively, we know water has the ability to relieve the symptoms of stress. Some believe that tumbling waters’ rejuvenating properties are due to negative ions which amp up the electromagnetic field that surrounds the body and affect mood. A Columbia University study demonstrated that negative ions relieved depression in subjects with SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Others attribute the sound of moving water as having calming effects because the high water content of the body’s tissues entrains (synchronizes) the body’s rhythms to the rhythms of nature. Another way that water is remarkable is its ability to receive, store and transmit information. Scientists in the 1800 and 1900s “discovered” these properties of water. The sciences of homeopathy and flower essences are based on the principle that water can be imprinted with a vibration that in turn can be communicated throughout an entire water-based system. Austrian scientists studied the aliveness and potency of water found in moving rivers and streams and how naturally flowing water cleanses and revitalizes itself. Because many of us do not have access to highly energized, fresh natural water—our drinking water is stripped of its vibrancy by the treatment process used by our municipal reservoirs—this research has given rise to Natural Water Activation TechnologyTM. Natural Water Activation TechnologyTM duplicates vital, natural frequencies and restructures and restores tap water to its true healthy, energetic state.
I am fascinated by water’s magical abilities to transform and I have been guided to tap into this element in my work. I am learning that water is a multidimensional element whose depths I am just beginning to plunge. My exploration has led me to “remember” how to alchemically restructure the water molecule so that it can hold higher and higher frequencies of Light. In working with individuals, their homes and offices, and planetary bodies of water, I am vibrationally transmuting fear stored within the water molecules. By releasing fear stored on a subatomic level, clients have experienced expanded levels of consciousness. I understand that this process is crucial for human and planetary evolution. For we, along with Mother Earth, must attain greater levels of Light in order for ascension to occur. I believe water is a living being and contains the essence of life. We have much to learn from this intriguing element. And by raising our awareness of water’s magical powers we will unravel the mysteries of the universe. Our health and well-being and that of our planet are reflected in our relationship to water and our care of it. May we once again demonstrate respect for its sacredness and appreciate its important role in our lives—our survival and our transformation.
