Wayne's Top 10 Songs

Don't Worry Baby
(The Beach Boys)
I've been listening to this song since 1964' and I never get tired of hearing it. Brian's voice "IS" the song, and the simple production makes the song so much bigger. Believe it or not, this was a B side.
Devil with a Blue Dress
(Mitch Ryder & Detroit Wheels)
No one rocked with this much energy in 66'. With the explosive bass drum at the beginning, Mike Bloomfields classic guitar solo, and the organ riff driving the song, (not to mention Mitch himself) it remains a classic.
Time Wont Let Me
(The Ousiders)
Great use of horns in this rock song. Drum break in the middle was wild. Just a great song I love to hear.
Higher and Higher
(Jackie Wilson)
Big comeback for Jackie! Classic soul song from 67'. I love the falsetto breaks throughout the song.
Good Times Bad Times
(Led Zeppelin)
First Zep song I ever heard. Bonham's drumming blew me away. Classic blue print of Led Zeppelins sound. Page's guitar and Bonzo's drumming laid the foundation.
Come on Up
(The Rascals)
This is one of the Rascals hardest rocking songs. Great intro by Gene and Dino. I could never figure out why it wasn't released as a single.
When I Was Young
(Eric Burdon & the Animals)
First single with the new line up. More of a Rock sound than the earlier songs that leaned more towards R & B.
Just Like Me
(Paul Revere & the Raiders)
First top ten single. Great organ and drum intro (Hal Blain on drums). Made Mark Lindsay a teen idol.
Get Me To The World On Time
(The Electric Prunes)
Follow up to "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night". Big Bo Diddley beat surrounded by ridiculous tremolo.
Who'll Stop The Rain
(Creedence Clearwater Revival)
Classic John Fogerty guitar intro. One of the high points of Cosmos Factory. Another great B side.
