Nick Hornby and the Good Old Days
Last week the New York Times ran an opinion piece by Nick Hornby in which he relates his epiphany that current pop music is crap. I think it makes for interesting reading in preparation for this Thursday's Frontline. Here's his article. For differing points of view, check out these response letters. Expect a quiz on Thursday.

And if anyone has a Marah album, please bring it.

Thanks Burton...I have a copy of Nick Hornby's Songbook in which he talks about 20 or 30 songs that have affected him in some way. He writes about quite a range of songs - 70's soul to 90's Britpop. I borrowed it from Susan, but haven't had a chance to read it quite yet.
Muchas Gracias Senor,

I am a big fan of Hornby. I enjoyed the article quite a lot. I will look forward to viewing the program on The Way The Music Died this evening.
