Jeroen Lapré Biography
Jeroen Lapre' joined Industrial Light & Magic in 1996 as a Technical Director.
He studied Graphic Design Finished Art at Hornsby College, NSW Australia, and Computer Graphics & Animation at VisLab, Sydney University.
Prior to ILM, Jeroen accrued over 10 years of experience in the film & television effects industry. This included free-lance and full time employment at Spectrum Films, Flying Colors, Picture Start, Foxtel, and Digital Pictures in Sydney Australia.
As a Technical Director at ILM, he is responsible for the assembly and rendering of visual effects in feature films. His daily work revolves around working with CG "Match Movers", modelers, model painters, animators, and compositors. Jeroen collects the data from all these people and assembles them into a shot. He is also responsible for the CG lighting of the 3D elements, and integrating them with the actors, sets, props, and locations.

As well as film production, Jeroen is passionate about science, technology, and science fiction. He feels privileged to have worked on the Star Wars prequels and Artificial Intelligence by Stanley Kubrick and Steven Speilberg. He looks forward to the opportunity to work on Star Wars Episode III.
Jeroen corresponds with his scientist friends
at NASA Ames, and his favorite science fiction authors, including Arthur
C. Clarke, Greg Bear and Larry Niven.
