RI 17161 represents an International Car Company bay window caboose delivered in 1967 as one of several orders of similar cabooses ordered. Rock Island labeled their cabooses "POOL" for those intended for offline use.

The model is an Overland Models import custom painted by TRAIN DETAIL WORKS in the modified "speed" style lettering.  It has had the spare knuckle holder removed from the underframe (thanks Steve Suhs*) and a RI style rooftop marker light added along with an antenna mast.
