Benchwork Started!

| I finally got started putting up the benchwork today. The L-girder against the wall is 31' long: the closer one is 26'5". It was a real challange to erect them single handed. The benchwork will be 2' deep here. I had assembled the L-girders in subsections and spliced them to full length Monday. Next is to tie in the shorter ones at each end. I especially need to get the back (right one here) going as the peninsula comes off them and I need to get that in so I can put in the backdrop on the peninsula then do all the clouds and whatever I want to put on the backdrop - probably just some low hills esp on the front (left). | |||

| All of the girders are in and leveled now. The pics show the back short wall and transition to the peninsula (left) and from the base of the peninsula across to the front of the room. Next is to get the backdrop in on the peninsula. | |

| The peninsula backdrop is up now. Next to tape and mud the seams and screw holes and get some paint on it. | |

| I got the peninsula backdrop painted today. Next to put some clouds on the backdrop and maybe a few hills behind the area in front. | |
11/25/03 I am finally making progress on the backdrop. This is the area the front which is the deepest scene. |
