Oh god,
Vanilla Kipfels. These are the best cookies. I’ve made them at parties and they’ve not
made it on to the serving platter, as they were gobbled up by the guests
directly from the cooling rack. Recipe courtesy of Grandma, Roslyn Freiberg.
Ingredients
1 lb
unsalted butter, room temperature
1 lb all
purpose flour
4 TB
sugar
1 cup
ground almonds
Vanilla
sugar for dusting
Preheat
oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all
the ingredients together. Roll in to a
long roll, cut and shape in to crescents.
Place on parchment lined baking sheets and bake 10 minutes or “until
done.” Place on cooling rack and dust
with vanilla sugar.
See how
long you can resist eating them (all).
These
have a tendency to fall apart, so they’re not good for giving away in cookie
tins.
