Welcome to the Tuolumne & Sierra Foothill Railroad

"Serving the Central Sierra"
(We recommend an Internet Explorer locomotive with a 800 x 600 screen arrangement to handle the ruling grade on this line. Netscape locos may have a rough go of it on some of the steeper graphics.)

RARE MOVIE FOOTAGE DISCOVERED!!
Dateline March 25th, 2006.
The Tuolumne & Sierra Foothill Railroad archives yield a treasure in black and white.

The dusty shelves of the T&SF's archives turned up a spool of vintage film from around the turn of the century. The grainy black and white movie depicts some serious steam action along the T&SF main line and is presented, along with a digitally restored version, in the Videos department of the railroads' business offices.

The Tuolumne & Sierra Foothill Railroad (the T&SF for short) is a freelance short line N scale model railroad loosely based on the Sierra Railroad prototype which operates out of Jamestown in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, in the heart of California's "Gold Country". For more information on the prototype please follow this link to their official website, but don't forget to come back! Click on the buttons above to tour the line, please watch your step.

Now, is THIS really a prototypical thing to do?

Finally, undeniable PROOF that model railroading is an intellectual pursuit.

Please come back for another trip on the T&SF soon as this website is (not so) new and many updates and upgrades are (still) in store!

Congratulations!
Our ticket agent, Web Counter says you're passenger number
digital counter with lots and lots of numbers
to have risked your neck riding on the T&SF since February 26, 2001
