Scenes of the T&SF

Site Map

This stretch of the line last saw maintenance on April 15, 2006

Here's my first attempt at putting some scenes together. The background photos are on a layer behind all the "action" and are from The Backdrop Warehouse.

The first two are just the scenes from the home page with the background photo added. The bottom one has a little more going for it...

(Hit the ol' Refresh button if if something looks amiss. Sometimes its hard to get all the cars out of the yard at the same time!)

The Tuolumne Lumber Company Shay Number 4 and a string of log cars "lumbering" across one of the long, spindly wood trestles that span the high mountain valley.

The daily TN&F passenger express lead by Engine 28, a 1902 2-8-0 Consolidation, rolls through the Sutter Valley while its sister engine #14 pulls a long freight including a couple of Brian Clough's PFE cars and caboose against the slight grade.

The main line of the T&SF is bustling with activity as it passes through the town of Tuolumne, high in the Sierras.
